Inspired by W. B. Yeats “Looking for the face I had before the world was made,” exploring the self that exists beneath what life has shaped.

The exhibition brings together artists who found their way to art after hardship, trauma, or profound change. Through art, they confront the worlds that shaped them while creating new ones of their own each through a distinct language, imagination, and vision.

It marks the boundary where the world we inherit ends and the world we create begins.

After the World Was Made brings together the works of Carla Ajam, Ingy Zahran, Mohammed Hamed, Noha Waheed, Rabab Shaker, Samuel Shady, Shaimaa Khalifa, Yasmine Younes, and Ziad Afifi, each offering a different vision shaped by their own journey.

Join us for the opening reception on 1 October at 7:00 PM at Bibliothek Art Gallery.

The exhibition will be on view until 15 October, daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
