Ibrahim Elhaddad is an Egyptian painter born in 1963 in Cairo . He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from Helwan University in 1989 and he studied at the Basel School of Jazz in Switzerland from 1996 to 1998. 
El Haddad has participated in several group exhibitions in Switzerland where he lived from 1993 until 2010 and in Cairo where he is currently based. He has also held several solo exhibitions in different venues between the two countries among them are Mashrabia Gallery in Cairo and Gallery ArtPlace in Basel.
Ibrahim’s new series of works gives the viewer glimpses of a colourful and peaceful dimension much different from his early works. Exploring a realm with different objects and creatures that hold a more spiritual significance. This new approach comes after a reflection on the relationship between the soul, the body and the mind conveying a perfect harmony of the self and matter.
