This book is a fresh look into Sir Alfred Hitchcock’s filmography regarding his interaction with Hollywood studios when he moved from his native England to America. It reviews all Hitchcock’s American films as of 1940 till his last film in 1976.
After an introductory preface examining his relationship with the different studios, a review on each film follows starting with a presentation of cast and crew and a synopsis of the story.
The text is the author’s point of view on the twists and turns of the plot and an insight into the protagonists and into the contribution of the collaborators in the making of the film. Needless to mention that the so-called Hitchcockian traits and themes are highlighted and elaborately discussed.
