Salah El-Din Ahmed is a visual artist and a painter based in Alexandria, Egypt. Salah graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts (Alexandria University) in 2018. He has participated in a number of exhibitions in Alexandria and Cairo, such as: – Youth Salon 2018. Institute français d’Egypte in Alexandrie in 2019 Agenda for 2018 at Bibliotheca Alexandrina International Symposium Exhibition in Luxor in 2017 and 2018 2019 - 2020 at the Mahmoud Said Museums Centre. Expressionist and figurative are key elements of Salah’s artistic style, which is framed by a philosophical argument about the absence of objective reality. His expressive subjectivity is not based on accepted facts, but rather on individual beliefs and sentiments. The physical object, despite differing opinions, remains the same whether a painting is deemed “beautiful” or “ugly” by different people. In his work, he frequently emphasises originality, breaking with conventions, and artistic freedom that didn’t suit the prevailing tastes of society at the time. In his artwork, Salah tries out various methods and mediums while expressing himself freely through his use of line and colour.
